The council chairman of Eredo LCDA in Lagos state, Hon Adeniyi Saliu has admonished Muslim faithful to adhere strictly to the complete tenets of Islam and also uphold the spirit of Ramadan beyond the holy month.
Saliu, made the call during the Ramadan lecture organised by the League of Imams and Alfas in Eredo Local Council Development Area Branch, yesterday.
In his address, Hon. Adeniyi Saliu applauded the eminent Clerics, Imams and Alfas for ceaselessly propagating Islam in a peaceful manner that Islam represents. The Council Helmsman, admonished all Muslim faithfuls to exemplify Ramadan Spirit beyond the Holy Month of Ramadan.
Islam is the approach that Allah has set for the people so that they may be upright and their lives will be based on it. Islam has a set of principles that we must abide by. Every person who believes in these pillars is considered a complete Muslim and so, we should not limit the Ramadan spirits to the Holy month of Ramadan only but exemplify it all the days of our lives, Saliu admonished.
Meanwhile the Guest Lecturer, Alhaji Onabajo Abdul Wasiu Adekunle, the Chief Imam, Odogbonle Central Mosque, who spoke on Islam & Leadership, the Roles and Responsibilities of a good leader applauded the Council Chairman, for his humility and responsiveness to the cause of the people, this he’s known for even before he became the Council Chairman, Imam Onabajo pointed.
