The Thirteen Transportation Committee set up by Dapo Abiodun to resolve crisis among transporters in Ogun State, has concluded that the appointment of the new State chairman of National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, will be based on merit, adding that they will not be biased
The committee who also promised to announce the qualified candidates soon added that other posts, such as vice chairman, secretary, treasurer and other will also be strictly appointed.
The chairman of transportation committee, Barrister Sunday Olufemi disclosed this on Saturday during a peace talk with
all transporters in Ogun State at MITROS, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
”We are going to base our appointment on merit, we are appointing only the qualified candidates and we are not going to be biased, this peace talk call for peace in the State, we don’t want anyone to fight, let every transporters maintain their status- quo.”
”We are going to call everybody back when we are ready and announce those who worth to be chairman, vice chairman,secretary, treasurer, organising secretary”
In attendance, Hon Adeyemi, Akintunde, Hon. Afuape, Iyeru, Efele and Alameda, the candidate for ACOMORAN State chairman in Ogun State , Omolola Olumide, popularly known as Lolasqueen.
