Residents of Ogun State have been assured of better livelihood, as the new administration was ready to deliver on its electioneering campaign promises to transform the lives of the people.
The Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, on his first official day in office, made this known while briefing journalists after series of meetings with the Head of Service and Security Chiefs, at the Governor’s office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, saying he was poised to ensure good governance in running the affairs of the State.
He disclosed that the desire of his administration was to improve the Public Service, pay salaries and deductions as and when due, saying, if salaries were not paid on time, how could his government truly provide good governance.
‘’We will pay salaries and deductions, you cannot refuse to do all these and say you have good governance, we will be an effective and organized government, we will transform the lives of our people”, Abiodun said.
The Governor had earlier on his arrival, visited offices in the secretariat, amidst cheers from workers, before retiring to the office of the Head of Service, where he held a meeting with the Body of Permanent Secretaries and later with Service Chiefs.
